Veterans Day Parade & Program at Manchester Memorial Hospital

MANCHESTER, CT – November 8, 2021 – The town’s Veterans Day recognition event will be held on Thursday, November 11, and will step off from the American Legion Hall on Legion Drive at 10:45 am with a parade.

Marchers will progress to the front lawn of Manchester Memorial Hospital, arriving approximately at 11 am.

The public is invited to attend the outdoor ceremony which will include remarks from Manchester Mayor Jay Moran, Senator Steve Cassano, Senator Saud Anwar, MD, and Representative John Larson, as well as the lowering of colors by the color guards, and the placing of wreaths at the memorial in front of the hospital.

Manchester High School Senior, Emma Thomsen will sing the National Anthem.

Brunch will be served in the hospital’s conference rooms A, B, and C immediately following the ceremony.

Manchester Memorial Hospital was established in 1919 as the town’s official memorial to its soldiers who lost their lives in World War I and to all its veterans who served in the war. Manchester Memorial was rededicated to all lives lost in all wars just last year during its centennial celebration event.
