Manchester Memorial Hospital Serves as Movie Set for Upcoming Netflix Film Titled “The Noel Diary”

MANCHESTER, Conn. – June 26, 2021 – Netflix production studios was selected Manchester Memorial Hospital as a site location to film a scene in a new family drama holiday movie, “The Noel Diary” starring Justin HartleyBonnie Bedelia and James Remar. The movie is set to release in late 2022. It is based on the Richard Paul Evans bestselling novel.

Nina Kruse, ECHN spokesperson, said “Crews occupied an area in the hospital where the facility sees an excess of patients. There were strict Covid-19 protocols in place on the closed set to ensure safety.” Whether crew members were vaccinated or not, everyone had to be tested and checked in and wearing masks during their time on the hospital campus. A nursing unit, parking lot and rooftop scene have been dedicated to the film crew so as not to disturb hospital operations.

“We are pleased to be helping another industry achieve their goals while continuing to focus on our mission of providing high-quality, compassionate care.” said Kruse. The Netflix crew members were onsite June 25 and June 26, 2021.

A portion of our parking lot was covered with “Hollywood” snow as part of one scene. “We look forward to seeing the film once released and celebrating our participation.” added Kruse.
