Both our adolescent and adult inpatient behavioral health units are co-ed, and provide a secure and safe environment our patients. Our adolescent inpatient unit is a 6-bed unit and is located at Manchester Memorial Hospital. Our adult inpatient unit is a 24-bed unit and is located at Rockville General Hospital.
On site, our multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, social workers, occupational therapists and psychiatric nurses care for patients on a continuous 24/7 basis, and work closely with each other to restore patients to the highest level of functioning as quickly as possible, so that they can continue to receive treatment in a less restrictive environment.
Our inpatient units can accommodate individuals suffering from:
- Anxiety including Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Bipolar disorder
- Depression
- Postpartum psychosis
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders
- Substance abuse
Treatment may include:
- Individual, family and group therapy
- Psychopharmacology
- Referrals for rehabilitative care
Upon discharge, patients can continue follow-up care services in our partial day program or outpatient programs which include counseling, medication and support.
