Adult Ambulatory Behavioral Health

We offer adults facing a behavioral health issue to be seen without an appointment at our 150 North Main Street office in Manchester. They are seen by a clinician and psychiatrist who complete a comprehensive assessment and are then connected to support services and programs best suited to their needs.

Our services and programs include:
Adult Partial Hospital Programs and Intensive Outpatient Programs

These unique programs are designed for adults who require more intensive therapeutic services, but do not require inpatient hospitalization. Both programs offer comprehensive treatment in a structured and supervised therapeutic environment and are tailored to your specific needs.

Our team is comprised of board-certified psychiatrists, licensed therapists and mental health counselors who meet with patients to work on a variety of therapeutic modalities, including:

  • DBT skills groups
  • Group therapy
  • Individual and family sessions
  • Substance abuse groups

Patients enrolled in our intensive outpatient programs meet three hours a day, three or four times a week. Patients enrolled in our partial hospital programs meet four hours a day, five days a week.

Outpatient Groups and Counseling

Outpatient Plus is a helpful recovery group designed for people who are either completing a treatment program or are in need of more frequent care than traditional outpatient therapy. This program meets for one hour, two or three nights per week.

Relapse Prevention Groups help those beginning in recovery to focus on identifying and avoiding behaviors and thought patterns that can lead to a relapse.

We also provide additional specialized group therapies that are available with themes related to food and eating challenges, anxiety, women’s issues and trauma.

Behavioral health services are also integrated with our Women’s Center for Wellness to offer specialized on-site counseling services for women with:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression including postpartum depression
  • Difficulty coping
  • Grief and loss
  • Issues with aging including menopause
  • Marriage and family issues including divorce
  • Relationship and communication challenges

Addiction and Behavioral Health Services

Our addiction programs are tailored to an individual’s unique situation and needs. Services can include care for mental health symptoms related to depression, anxiety and mood changes commonly seen when people are dealing with addiction as well as medication-assisted recovery.

One of the newest and most promising medication-assisted treatments for addiction is Suboxone®. In combination with behavioral therapies, Suboxone® is used to help patients with opioid dependence.

The Substance Abuse Training and Education Programs (STEPS) include relapse prevention, group therapy and coping skill development such as: distress tolerance, emotional regulation, mindfulness and communication skills. Programs meet during the day and evening.
