Cancer Research at the John A. DeQuattro Cancer Center

Cancer research plays a vital role in advancing our understanding of how to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer. At the John A. DeQuattro Cancer Center, we are proud to contribute to this important work by participating in a variety of research efforts—including clinical trials focused on new cancer therapies, technologies, and approaches to care. These studies help determine which treatments are most effective for different types of cancer and for different groups of patients.

We are currently enrolling local breast cancer patients—and individuals with a personal or family history of breast cancer or who are at high risk—into the national iCaRe2 (Integrated Cancer Repository for Cancer Research) Breast Cancer Collaborative Registry. This study aims to advance breast cancer research by collecting health information that could help researchers improve understanding and treatment of the disease.

By taking part in cancer research, our patients may gain early access to innovative treatments while helping shape the future of cancer care.

To learn more about local opportunities for cancer research participation, including clinical trials, please speak with your oncologist, call us at 860.533.2929, or email CancerResearch@echn.org.
