Dr. Kostas Papamarkakis obtained his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Massachusetts Chan-Baystate program and subsequently went on to complete a fellowship in Nephrology at Yale.
Dr. Papamarkakis has developed an expertise in clinical practice with a special interest in glomerular, tubulointerstitial, and vascular disease. As a board-certified Nephrologist, Dr. Papamarkakis also provides comprehensive nephrology care including generalnephrology, fluid & electrolyte disorders, hypertension, renal stones, and transplantation. His scope of practice is shared across inpatient and ambulatory settings, including in-center and in-home dialysis.
Along the way, Dr. Papamarkakis has contributed to several peer-reviewed articles, case reports, and original research. He contributes a chapter on renovascular disease published in Comprehensive Clinical Nephrology. Dr. Papamarkakis, most enjoys educating healthcare providers in training, recognized by several teaching awards.
