Meet Karen Yencho, APRN, a trusted, board-certified Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with more than 25 years of experience helping children thrive.

Since 1999, Karen has provided exceptional care to patients from birth through age 21, earning a reputation for her warm, compassionate and approachable style, as well as her deep commitment to families. As both a skilled clinician and a natural educator, Karen loves empowering parents – teaching them the skills and confidence they need to care for their growing families.

Having grown up in Vernon, she is deeply familiar with the local community and its resources, which allows her to connect families with the support they need. Karen completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Rhode Island and earned her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Hartford, followed by a post-master’s certificate from UMass Amherst. With experience in primary care, urgent care, school-based care and group home environments, she brings a broad clinical background and the ability to care for infants, school-aged children, teens, and young adults with confidence and expertise.

Primary care is where Karen’s passion shines. She values the long-term relationships she builds with children and their families and enjoys providing continuity of care as her patients grow, celebrating successes and offering support at every stage.
