Stroke

Saving lives when every second counts.

According to the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association, stroke is the number four cause of death and a leading cause of adult disability in the United States. On average, someone suffers a stroke every 40 seconds, someone dies of a stroke every four minutes and 795,000 people suffer a new or recurrent stroke each year.

Therefore, every second counts when it comes to treatment and recovery when experiencing or after suffering a stroke. Manchester Memorial Hospital and Rockville General Hospital can make the difference and can ensure you or your loved one will quickly receive high quality care for the best chance of recovery.
