At ECHN we recognize the importance of total mind and body wellness. Our Integrative Health Services are a holistic approach to whole body care, where the patient is placed at the center in order to address a full range of physical, mental, emotional and environmental influences. This evidence-based approach helps patients achieve optimal health and healing.

Integrative Health Services are available for all, convieniently located at the Women's Center for Wellness or the John A. DeQuattro Cancer Center. Our services include:


Acupuncture

Acupuncture is meant to stimulate the body’s natural healing process through non-medical means by way of inserting thin, sterile, disposable needles into specific areas of the body. This ancient practice from traditonal Chinese medicine, one of the oldest, most common and dependable medical therapies used in the world that seeks to stimulate the body’s ability to heal itself.

This simple, safe and effective practice is preformed by ECHN’s own licensed, board certified acupuncturist.

Acupuncture can treat a variety of medical conditions, including:

Acupuncture sessions range from $60.00 – $100.00 per session.


Community Acupuncture at the John A. DeQuattro Cancer Center 
Community acupuncture is a nationwide movement striving to make acupuncture more affordable and accessible. Treatments are given in a relaxing group setting and can last as long as you want, or as short as you need;. Acupuncture can be helpful for many conditions experienced by individuals facing or undergoing cancer treatment, or who have post-cancer treatment issues, including:

  • Anxiety/Depression
  • “Brain Fog”
  • Diarrhea/Constipation
  • Dry Mouth/Throat
  • Fatigue
  • Generalized Pain
  • Hot Flashes / Night Sweating
  • Insomnia / Restless Legs
  • Nausea / Vomiting
  • Neuropathy
  • Post-Covid Symptoms
  • Radiation Burns
  • Stress Reduction

Community Acupuncture sessions are on a sliding scale, $20-$40 per treatment.


Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for relaxation and stress reduction, performed by “laying on hands” by the therapist. It is the intention of the practitioner to channel energy to assist with the healing process. It consists of gentle techniques to provide relaxation and a sense of balance. It may be helpful for relieving stress, improving well-being, decreasing anxiety, tension and perception of pain.

Prices range from $40.00 – $60.00 per session


Therapeutic Massage Therapy

Massage can promote both physical healing and deep relaxation of body and mind, often increasing your sense of energy and well-being. You work in partnership with a licensed massage therapist to determine the approach and techniques that work best for you. 30, 60 and 90-minute massage sessions are available, including our specialty massage programs below.

Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as your body adapts to the new life growing within you. Pregnancy massage therapy is a healthy way to reduce stress, promote wellness, and relieve the common discomforts experienced during pregnancy. Every massage session is designed to progress to address the unique changes experienced during each trimester of pregnancy.

Postpartum Massage

Postpartum massage may help speed recovery from the physical and emotional stress of childbirth by bringing relief to sore muscles. This soothing massage may also help reduce the new stress of caring for a newborn.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is an advanced therapeutic method, proven to stimulate the lymphatic system.

Our Certified MLD therapists use gentle rhythmic movements which help to eliminate waste from the body, returning vital proteins to the blood stream, which is crucial to our health and well-being.

MLD can be extremely beneficial for cancer patients by restoring balance and reducing pain caused by inflammation, radiation or chemotherapy. In addition, MLD can be beneficial for post-traumatic injuries, to promote proper drainage of burns, wounds, stretch marks and wrinkles, as well as the reduction in the symptoms of chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, and other autoimmune disorders.
