In 2010, ECHN partnered with the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine as a major clinical campus for its medical students. Sixteen third-year medical students are hosted from the College each year through our member hospitals, ambulatory centers and medical staff offices. The students rotate through the core clerkships in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, OB/GYN, Surgery and Psychiatry. Additional opportunities are available to participate in enrichment rounds and rotate through many different disciplines, including radiology, pathology and anesthesiology. Student didactics consist of weekly interdisciplinary core lectures, as coordinated by the core faculty and presented by the department, with guest lecturers from the medical staff and outside.
It is our mission to provide you with the finest, most dynamic academic experience possible through excellent clinical instruction. We strive to cultivate your professional growth as an ethical and responsible member of the health care community.
