Volunteering at Manchester Memorial Hospital

If you have never volunteered before, you cannot imagine the personal satisfaction. If you have volunteered before, you know the difference volunteering makes in your life and in the lives of the patients and their families.

Volunteers come from many different backgrounds. For example, volunteers can be college students, people interested in career changes, retirees, people who are between jobs and want to keep their skill levels high, homemakers and teenagers.

We would be happy to show you how you can make a difference in someone’s life. Our orientation program and specialized training within the departments will teach you the skills you need to work within the hospital setting.

Each year, hundreds of dedicated adult and junior (ages 13-18) volunteers give thousands of hours of service to Manchester Memorial Hospital. Our volunteers work in every department, performing a number of interesting and challenging jobs, including clerical tasks, making deliveries and positions with direct patient contact.

Training is provided for all volunteer positions. If you are interested in volunteering at any ECHN facility, including Manchester Memorial Hospital, please call (860) 647-6841 or send an e-mail to bchamber@echn.org.
