"Package Deal" includes the following classes:
1. Prepared Childbirth Education – The Basic 5 week Series Wednesdays September 13 - October 11 Learn the essentials for the labor and birth of your baby in five weeks. Topics include: stages of labor, relaxation and breathing techniques, comfort measures, positioning for labor, partner's role, analgesia, anesthesia, cesarean birth, postpartum adjustment, breastfeeding, newborn care and much more*. We recommend you complete classes approximately 2 - 6 weeks before your due date. Classes limited to 8 couples
2 Advanced Comfort Skills for Labor + Family Birthing Center Tour - Wednesday October 25: This is an interactive class specifically designed for couples who have taken a childbirth series or have had a baby before. The class gives couples a hands-on opportunity to get more in-depth information on comfort & coping skills for labor. In this class participants will practice labor coping skills such as; relaxation, utilizing different positions, breathing, touch and other advanced skills. An optional tour of the Family Birthing Center will follow the class.

Note: Within 1 week of registration, you will receive an email confirmation with dates and times of the classes, directions including parking information and what you need to bring to class.

Cancellation Policy: We will provide a full refund to registrants who have a medical reason for cancelling the class. A $10 registration fee per class will be retained for all other cancellation refunds. To receive a refund, you must notify the ECHN Perinatal Education office at 860-647-4790 no later than 48 hours prior to the first class. No refunds will be given once the class begins.
