ECHN's Adult Volunteer Program
If you have never volunteered before, you cannot imagine the personal satisfaction. If you have volunteered before, you know the difference volunteering makes in your life and in the lives of the patients and their families.
Volunteers come from many different backgrounds. For example, volunteers can be college students, people interested in career changes, retirees, people who are between jobs and want to keep their skill levels high, homemakers and teenagers.
We would be happy to show you how you can make a difference in someone's life. Our orientation program and specialized training within the departments will teach you the skills you need to work within the hospital setting.
Some volunteer positions involve work with patients. Others allow you the chance to work with employees and fellow volunteers. We have a variety of opportunities for you to use your skills, learn new ones, and socialize with great people.
Each year, hundreds of dedicated adult and junior volunteers give thousands of hours of service to Eastern Connecticut Health Network. Training is provided for all volunteer positions.
If you are interested in volunteering at any ECHN facility, including Manchester Memorial Hospital, Rockville General Hospital, Woodlake at Tolland or the Women's Wellness Center, please click the link below. After you complete your application, you will contacted by an HR Representative from the Volunteer office to schedule an interview.

Junior Volunteer Program
If you are a student interested in helping others, gaining valuable volunteer experience, and making friends, consider ECHN's Junior Volunteer Program.
Apply online for a Junior Volunteer position and you will be contacted to come in for an interview. To apply, please click the link below. In the first box on that page, choose "Volunteer Services" within the listing of Facilities in order to complete an application. After you complete your application, you will contacted by an HR Representative from the Volunteer office to schedule an interview.

Junior volunteers are welcome all year long. In addition, we offer a Summer Junior Volunteer Program.
For 2009, the Summer Junior Volunteer Program runs from June 22 through August 28. You will need to attend the Volunteer Orientation on June 15, 2009, at 3 p.m. Applications for this program must be received no later than May 30, 2009. We do require that you make a commitment of at least 4 hours per week. Make your summer special and VOLUNTEER!
All Junior Volunteers need to print out the 4 forms below, complete them, and return them to James Anselmo, HR Partner, at the time of interview. Please note: these are Microsoft Word documents.
