Having an annual clinical breast exam by your healthcare provider can put your mind at ease. Clinical Breast Exam (CBE): A physical exam of the breast and underarm area by your healthcare provider should be done at least once every three years from the ages of 20-39, then yearly after age 40. Many women have this completed at their annual ob/gyn visit. Your family healthcare provider can also provide this exam. Breast Self Exam (BSE): Women should perform breast self exams beginning in their 20's and report any changes in how their breasts look or feel to their healthcare provider. Visit www.komen.org to see steps to Breast Self-Examination (BSE).
