Our Eastern Connecticut Health Network Joint Effort Program supports knee and hip total joint replacement and reconstruction. Our program is a multidisciplinary program covering your care from preoperative, intraoperative, post operative through recovery to home, the complete continuum of care.

'(The) entire experience was incredible. The process was so efficient yet the staff was calm and very compassionate, how kind everyone was. I can’t thank you and your staff enough for the expertise and care you showed my me.'

-Grateful Patient, Joan

Our orthopedic specialists are experts in minimally-invasive surgical techniques. Minimally-invasive procedures are performed with smaller incisions, which result in smaller scars, less pain, and allow for a faster recovery than replacement and reconstructive methods. An individualized approach is taken to every aspect of the joint replacement experience. This includes the utilization of the most appropriate joint replacement technique, detailed and structured patient education with a personal touch, a rehabilitation medicine program designed to meet patient’s needs and lifestyle. The Orthopedic Surgery Program and Joint Effort program bring together a combination of surgical expertise and state-of-the-art technology to deliver compassionate orthopedic care at the highest level.

Our care starts with the offering of the Joint Effort Preoperative educational class. This 2 hour class is for anyone thinking of, and/or scheduled for knee and hip replacement surgery. The class is given by multidisciplinary providers covering pre- to post-surgery and will address any concerns you may have.

Classes are held at Manchester Memorial Hospital
