The Rockville General Hospital Auxiliary Plans Trip to Newport, Rhode Island, on Sept. 10

May 21, 2009 -

The Rockville General Hospital Auxiliary is planning a trip to Newport, Rhode Island on Thursday, Sept. 10. The first destination is a trip on Rhode Island's only moving dinner train. The group will enjoy the "ultimate dining experience" on the Newport Dinner Train while taking a sentimental journey along scenic Narragansett Bay. Reminiscent of a time when dining aboard a luxury train was a statement of elegance and privilege, participants will dine in a vintage Pullman Dining car for lunch served on fine china, silver and crystal placed on crisp white linens. Menu choices will be available.

Following lunch, the group will board the Majestic, a 65-foot seaworthy vessel, for an hour-long voyage on the calm waters of Newport Harbor.

The cost is $95 per person and is non-refundable. Registrations for this delightful trip can be made at the Rockville General Hospital Gift Shop. Payment is due at the time of registration. You can also register by sending your registration and payment to the Rockville General Hospital Gift Shop, 31 Union St., Rockville, CT 06066. Questions may be directed to Joan at 875-2734 or Susan at 875-0527.
