The Auxiliary of Manchester Memorial Hospital Presented Major Contribution To Hospital

MANCHESTER, CONNECTICUT - At The Auxiliary of Manchester Memorial Hospital's annual meeting held recently at the Manchester Country Club, Auxiliary President Harriet Haslett presented ECHN with the Auxiliary's 2009-2010 annual gift of $100,500. The contribution supports several programs, services, and the purchase of needed medical equipment. Recipients included the Auxiliary's scholarship fund, ECHN's School-at-Work program, Lifeline, Breast Care Collaborative, Joint Effort program and several hospital departments.

The Auxiliary recognized two of its volunteers, Marilyn Peracchio and Jeanne Barry, for their many years of dedicated service to the group.

Officers were also elected for 2009-2010: Harriet Haslett, President; Marilyn Peracchio, Vice President; Carolyn Wilson, Treasurer; and Geraldine Greene, Assistant Treasurer.

Directors elected for a two-year term ending September 30, 2011, are: Elaine Charizione, Holiday Decorating and Career Day; Johanna Heidtman, Scholarship; Joan Lavery, Vending & Marketing; Rebecca Janenda, Finance & Program; Dianne Lombardo, Penny Saver; and Ashley Thompson and Jeanne Barry, Co-chairpersons of Membership.
