MANCHESTER, CONNECTICUT - Eastern Connecticut Health Network's (ECHN) Hospice Unit at Manchester Memorial Hospital (MMH) was the recipient of proceeds from the 24TH annual Odell Open, held on August 20 at Blackledge Country Club in Hebron. The Odell Open was founded in 1987 by Elmer L. Odell, Sr., as a way to honor the memory of his wife Josephine Rombola Odell.
Funds raised at this event will go towards upgrades and renovations of the Hospice Family Lounge at MMH. The lounge will provide a comforting and peaceful place for family members to rest or speak with nurses and physicians.
"ECHN is grateful for the ongoing commitment of the extended Odell family to the Hospice services at Manchester Memorial Hospital, and grateful to all those who enthusiastically participated in this year's event," said Peter J. Karl, ECHN President and CEO. "The Odell family's support makes a significant contribution to the quality of life for scores of Hospice patients every year."
Special appreciation is extended to all individuals and organizations that also support this event through generous financial support and in-kind donations.
ECHN holds many annual events throughout the year and partners with corporations for maximum marketing opportunities. For information on how to be a part of future ECHN Community Healthcare Foundation events, please call 860.872.5305.
