Free Program For Pregnant Teens—The ABCs Of Babies

Jan 2, 2009 -  A free nine-week prenatal education class designed for teens age 21 and under will be held in Rockville General Hospital's Birthplace Education Room, 31 Union Street, beginning Thursday, January 29, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. 

Topics include prenatal nutrition, infant care and development, signs of labor, breast and bottle-feeding techniques, preparation for the baby, and maternity unit tour. Community resources to help young parents will also be available. 

Participants who complete the class receive a baby gift. The father of the baby and/or support person is also welcome to attend. A light dinner will be provided. To register, please call ECHN's Family Development Center at 860-646-1222, Ext. 2471.
