Woodlake Tree of Caring
The Woodlake Tree of Caring is a beautiful wooden and metal sculpture celebrating the compassionate care provided to our patients.

The Tree of Caring was established through a generous donation by Dr. Harold Sandals in memory of his parents and is located in the lobby of Woodlake at Tolland, a short-term rehabilitation and long-term nursing care facility of ECHN. This work of art provides donors the opportunity to give a permanent tribute to family members and friends, while at the same time supporting services for the residents of Woodlake.
Donors may purchase:
- A copper leaf ($150)
- A silver leaf ($300)
- A bronze leaf ($500)
- A small boulder ($1,000)
- A large boulder ($1,500)
Leaves and boulders can be engraved to honor or memorialize a loved one or to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, marriage, or other special occasion.
Funds raised through the Tree of Caring support the purchase of equipment and recreational programs for residents, essential to creating a compassionate environment of care.
To purchase a leaf or boulder:
- Include the brief inscription that you would like engraved (maximum 89 characters, including spaces)
