Capital Renovations

In an effort to create a more healing and pleasant environment for our patients and their families, ECHN has undertaken an initiative called Take Pride. Many areas at both Manchester Memorial Hospital (MMH) and Rockville General Hospital (RGH) will receive capital renovations that will not only upgrade the appearance of these areas, but also increase efficiency for the staff.

The design objective is to refresh the aesthetics of the areas with new flooring, paint, window treatments, lighting, art, furniture and signage. The overall concept will evoke a nature-inspired atmosphere with warm woods and natural materials.

The areas targeted for renovation in the years 2011-2012 include:

RGH Cafeteria (approximate cost $70,000)
MMH Family Waiting Areas (approximate cost $80,000)
RGH Main Entrance (approximate cost $20,000)
MMH Nurse’s Stations (approximate cost $20,000 each)
Behavioral Health Inpatient Unit (approximate cost $70,000)
